Wolverhampton closes £370m schools deal
Wolverhampton council has achieved financial close with a Carillion-led consortium on its £370m Building Schools for the Future programme.
The contract ties Carillion and partners into delivering 26 schools in five phases over the next four years, under the government’s £65bn scheme.
The first phase involves building two secondary schools and two Special Educational Needs schools with a combined capital cost of approximately £72 million.
The consortium is called Wolverhampton LEP, and consists of Wolverhampton City Council, Building Schools for the Future Investments LLP and Carillion.
Carillion has now been chosen to deliver BSF and Academy programmes worth nearly £2.2bn
