The South West Regional Development Agency has appointed Alice Ordidge as head of regeneration in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Ordidge has 10 years’ experience in private sector property consultancies, such as GVA Grimley and Savills, and will be based in Truro.

She joined the RDA six years ago as a planning manager covering Devon and Cornwall and most recently as head of planning and transport.

Theo Leijser, the RDA’s director in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, said: “Alice has extensive experience in commercial planning and development work and will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Cornwall maximises the opportunities presented by Convergence funding and major developments like the Eco Town.”

Ordidge replaces Sandra Rothwell, who has become head of economic development at Cornwall Council.
