Council to dispose of regeneration site in Erith
The London Borough of Bexley has instructed Cushman & Wakefield to dispose of a site known as the Howbury Centre with adjoining land in Slade Green, Erith.
The 20 acre freehold site is one of the largest opportunities for major residential and mixed-use regeneration in south east London.
The master plan for the area already includes space for the re-provision of a community facility on adjoining land by the council.
Interest will be invited from developers on the basis of a two-phase scheme as the land in the second phase will not be available until 2014 pending vacant possession of the existing Howbury Centre being secured.
Marketing of the site will started at the end of last month.
