Pyle joins McCready’s government Property Unit
Former Land Securities director Robyn Pyle has joined John McCready’s team at the government’s Property Unit.
Pyle joins McCready (pictured) at the unit as a director, and is understood to be taking control of redevelopment, regeneration, and corporate restructuring.
He has been at director-level in companies including Hanson, Blue Circle Industries, United Utilities and Land Securities.
This comes in the same week as the Property Unit was merged with the property function at the Office of Government Commerce, with 13 property civil servants merging into McCready’s team.
Pyle joins two other previously-announced directors in another former LandSecs colleagues Robert Heskett and John Tauwhare.
Heskett is understood to be overseeing the Westminster aspects of the government’s £370bn property portfolio, while Pyle will oversee wider property management in the regions.
Two other names have also been confirmed at assistant director level: Claire Dartington, a Treasury economist, and commercial property lawyer Richard Fidler.
