McCready speaks: Watch the government’s property “tsar” give his views
Government property “tsar” John McCready outlined the scale of the public sector’s property problems at a breakfast event in London on Wednesday.
McCready, head of the government’s Property Unit in the Shareholder Executive, gave his views on REITs for public sector property, relocation from London and the scale of the challenge to better manage the £370bn public property portfolio. He was speaking at a breakfast run by networking organisation Movers & Shakers and PublicPropertyUK.com sister title Property Week.
He is in charge of setting the public sector’s property strategy.
