PMP Health Group plans to invest £250m in developing doctors surgeries and healthcare property.
The group, which has developed more than 60 healthcare facilities in the UK, has hired Ian Webb, development consultant at Wilky Property, to run the new venture, PMP Capital Partners, alongside David Robson.

Property consultant Jones Lang LaSalle has bought healthcare consultant GLP Taylors to expand its presence in the healthcare sector.
Today, the firm announced that it had bought GLP Taylors for an undisclosed sum. GLP Taylors will operate through the Jones Lang LaSalle network of offices in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh and Glasgow. It will work with JLL’s valuation advisory team.
GLP Taylors, formerly part of Leeds-based LNT Group, has a track record and existing pipeline of agency sales and acquisition instructions across the country.

University Hospital of North Staffordshire NHS Trust has appointed property consultants Drivers Jonas and Davis Langdon to oversee refurbishment work worth £42m.
The Trust is modernising its buildings in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, in a programme called Fit For The Future. It aims to complete 20 projects on its estate by the end of 2013, including a Private Finance Initiative project and a new maternity and oncology building at Stoke’s City General Hospital.

The National Health Service is failing to learn from independent healthcare providers on how to manage its properties, a healthcare charity has warned.
Independent health charity the King’s Fund said in its 80-page report “Windmill 2009: NHS response to the financial storm” that NHS leaders need to set out their plans to deal with looming cuts in public sector spending. It said this should include working with independent healthcare providers in areas including property and estate management.
